What are trees for modern humans? Green decoration for those seeking relaxation. Renewable raw material for the economy. For the conservationist, the home and hearth of wild animals. For some garden owners, the foliage is a nuisance, others enjoy the splendour of flowers and fruits. Administrations and neighbors fear security risks. Trees usually stand in the way of planners.

However, these traditional views ignore the one value of trees: their importance as climate power plants for the built area! Our green giants cool, humidify, protect against blazing sun, filter dust, bind carbon dioxide and provide us with the air we breathe.

Your municipality has long since recognized this and promotes the preservation of trees?
